#3026 IMP3 and Ki-67-Factors of Poor Clinical Outcome in Neuroendocrine Tumors of the Lung
Introduction: Insulin- like growth factor-II messenger RNA- binding protein- 3 (IMP3) is often detected in malignant neoplasm of different sites. Ki-67 proliferative index, although helpful in diagnosing neuroendocrine tumours of lung, has not been recognised as prognostic factor.

Introduction: Functional imaging with FDG-PET and somatostatin receptors scintigraphy (SRS), play a key role in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs). The proliferative index, ki67, is a reliable pathological marker for grading.

Introduction: The WHO 2010 classification has provided a valuable tool to stratify NEN prognosis based on an objective measure, the proliferation index. However, morphology and, in particular, tumor differentiation, is emerging again as a relevant feature that should not be dismissed due to its important clinical implications.

Introduction: Sporadic type 3 gNENs are usually malignant with high metastatic potential, mostly large, with a high grade histology. However, little is known on the relationship between tumor size, proliferative index Ki67, and clinical outcome

#1715 Recurrence of 6mm Rectal Neuroendocrine Tumor, 14 Years after Excision
Introduction: Rectal neuroendocrine tumours (NET) constitute 25% of all the digestive NET. Predictive factors of distant metastasis are: size greater than 1cm, high proliferative index and muscularis or lymphovascular invasion. In the absence of these criteria, some authors advocate there is no need for long-term follow-up.
